Moving up a level (6)_edited.jpg

Founded in 1992, the Colorado School of English is located in the heart of Denver, just down the street from the Capitol Building.

Our mission is to provide students with the English language training they require for academic, professional, or personal pursuits.

ABOUT THE OWNERS

Jason and Sarah Behuniak have both been working in Education for over 20 years. Their passion for supporting international students is at the heart of what they do.

Jason has a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Northern Arizona University and has completed Master's level coursework in TESL from St. Cloud State University. Sarah has a BA in Business Administration and an MA in Multicultural and Transnational Literature.

Jason and Sarah’s careers have taken them from classrooms in the U.S. to six years teaching at a university in South Korea. After moving to Denver, they began teaching at CSE, later took on the responsibility of running the school, and today serve as its owners and directors. Through their management, CSE has received the highest accreditation standard offered by ACCET.

While colleges in Colorado have Intensive English programs, their tuition alone is more expensive:

EstimatedTuition for 1 year (32 weeks of study)

- $10,700 - $15,700

not including books and other fees.

With the same academic rigour, CSE's Intensive English program is by far more affordable:

Estimated tuition for 1 year (42-50 weeks of study)

- $7,835- $10,400

including books, materials, and application fees.

Helping Students Access their Goals

Our student body is made up of full-time international students, Au Pairs, residents, and tourists. Just within 5 years, we have taught more than 3000 students from 111 countries!

Sisters Adriana and Andrea from El Salvador came to CSE under the F1 student visa. Having no previous English study, they started at our beginner level classes.

After 3 years in the Intensive English Program, they completed CSE's highest level classes and then transferred to the Community College of Denver. They are both now completing an associate's degree in Science at CCD.

Faisal

Faisal came to CSE under the F1 student visa in order to improve his English for his job in Saudi Arabia as a sales associate.

He stayed with a host family in Denver while enrolled in the Intensive English program at CSE. After one year of study, he returned to his home country and his work. But Faisal continues to refer friends and family to CSE and is still in touch with his host family from Denver.
